Our youth groups are designed to inspire and educate young musicians, fostering a love for ukulele and guitar through engaging and interactive lessons. Whether your child is picking up the instrument for the first time or looking to enhance their skills, our experienced instructors create a fun and supportive environment that encourages creativity and confidence.
Like us, you know that playing a musical instrument has endless benefits for young minds especially as they head to their secondary schools.
(yikes, how did they grow up so fast!)
We aim to develop confident, young players with a love for music.
Having this hobby will develop their confidence and give them a really healthy outlet to unwind and keep developing their musical skills. They will have the opportunity to play and connect with other young players in a fun and focused environment.
As our players develop their skills, they realise that they can be used in so many contexts including rock bands, ensembles and even open mic nights.

How It Works
MONTHLY LESSONS
One 30 or 60 minute, group lesson per month for Masterclass and Rock School and one 25 minute lesson for Little Strummers. During their monthly sessions, players will learn all the sections required for their next advanced grade and have the ability to connect with other players at the level.
PRACTICE COMMITMENT
Between sessions, players will be given clear practice goals to achieve before their next monthly meet. Their practice commitment should be 10 - 15 min, 3 times per week
FUN
We aim to help all our students reach their ukulele and guitar goals, while having a ton of fun along the way. Students jam songs, chat about music and make friends. Our group lessons give them a healthy, safe outlet to unwind and keep developing their musical skills.
“We love the masterclass because it is inspiring to play with other people at the same standard.”
“The extra practice session really gets the children started and builds confidence with the new music before practicing at home.”
Parent of a Ukulele Masterclass Student
Hello!
We’re Angelique & Lucy
The co-founders of Bath School of Ukulele (BSoU) and both parents encouraging our children on their own musical journeys.
As teachers and parents, we are fully in touch with the need to inspire our young learners. We aim to help develop our pupil’s confidence and give them a real sense of achievement on their journey. We understand that they will need to be self-driven with their practice time and that this needs to be a hobby they love.
We love it when we hear our pupils sharing stories of performing to friends and family, practicing and overcoming challenges. This is such a constructive and creative way for them to spend their time.
No wishy-washy lessons, your child is going to develop their skills and we’ll continue to take them to the next level in their musical journey and have a lot of fun along the way.
